I make this casserole the night before any holiday or event that I know I will have more than two families visiting or staying with us. It is so convenient to pop in the oven in the morning and sit and enjoy the company of my guests while breakfast is cooking. I made this dish while our family friends were driving across country. We had a side of fruit and banana bread which would have been a great picture to add to my blog but we ate it too quick!
Ingredients
- ½ lb cooked ham (lunch meat)
- ½ cup chopped yellow onion
- 8 eggs
- 1 package of Hawaiian Rolls
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup melted butter
Instructions
-
First, grease up the baking dish. Then add the Hawaiian Rolls. I like the Hawaiian Rolls because it gives a sweet taste as well as the pre-cut rolls allow for you to cut up the casserole easier.
-
Next, in a bowl, add the ingredients: ½ lb cooked ham (lunch meat), ½ cup chopped yellow onion, 8 eggs, 2 cups cheddar cheese, ¼ tsp pepper, ½ tsp garlic powder, and 1 cup milk.
-
Then, pour the melted butter over the entire mixture. Cover with foil and put it in the fridge overnight.
-
The next morning, pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown on top.
