My daughter is a salmon lover but I have officially converted my son with this recipe! I call it sugared salmon. The name is more enticing to the kids. This would be great if served over rice but tonight we at it with a salad. We ate all of our food so fast I barely got this pic! Enjoy!
Sugared Salmon
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup avocado oil
- 1 tb garlic
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (reduced sodium)
- 1 fresh salmon (enough for 5 people)
Instructions
-
Place your salmon in a plastic bag. Then mix together all the ingredients listed above. Marinate for 5 minutes (if that is all you have time for ) or marinate it a few hours for better tasting results.
-
Fire up the BBQ! We are grilling tonight!
-
Get a dinner plate. Place one sheet of foil down on the plate. Then place the salmon on top of it and then add a little of the mixture on top. Then get another sheet of foil and place it on top. Fold up the ends so the juice doesn't leak.
-
Put the foiled salmon on the grill for 10 minutes. Put the grill cover down. when time is up, BE VERY CAREFUL TAKING IT OFF THE GRILL! The foil will look like a balloon. Take a knife of fork and poke a hole at the top of the foil to release the steam. It is ready to serve with vegetables or a salad!
